1.  SMCCI Peniaga Pintar Fund (PPF)/Dana Peniaga Pintar (DPP) DPPMS

The SMCCI Peniaga Pintar Fund (PPF) or Dana Peniaga Pintar (DPP) DPPMS is introduced to help SMCCI members tide over the challenges from COVID- 19, and to push on with transformation efforts in preparation for the economic recovery.

The objective is for SMCCI members to leverage on the available resources to upskill and build capabilities within their business, with the aspiration of becoming a “Smart Businessman” or “Peniaga Pintar”.

Through this Fund, members who wish to enroll in the SMCCI-approved courses and work with SMCCI- appointed consultants, will be able to partially offset their course fee payment through utilisation of the Fund.

2. Criteria to claim for the Fund

- Applicants must be an ACRA-registered company
- Applicants must be a member of SMCCI
- Applicants’ SMCCI membership must be in good standing
- Applicants must agree to the Terms and Conditions imposed by SMCCI
- Funding to be used only for the list of approved-courses on the SMCCI Learning Portal
- Funding only on a reimbursement basis upon receipt and verification of documents

Eligible applicants should also note the following:

- If the course the applicant is making a claim for, is partially supported under other Government support/subsidies such as the Skills Development Fund or the Skillsfuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy, the applicant must ensure that the amount to be claimed should not include the supported amount under these Government programmes.

SMCCI reserves the right to ask for the relevant documentation to assess each claim made from the Fund.

3. Funding Guideline for SMCCI Members


The table below illustrates the amount of funding that is available for members in accordance with their membership length:

2 - Membership length is based on the latest uninterrupted membership term that the SME has with SMCCI
3 - Distressed businesses will need to provide additional documentation to support their application, which will include evidence of revenue decreased by more than 70% in the last 6 months as compared to the same period the previous year.

4. Application Process

Step 1: Member to fill in Application Form and submit to SMCCI

Step 2: SMCCI to verify status of member and confirm member is eligible for funding. This will take up to 3 working days.

Step 3: Member will receive an email from SMCCI on the outcome of their application.

Step 4: Upon successful application, member can proceed to register for any of the SMCCI-approved courses featured in the SMCCI Learning Portal, that is supported under the Fund. Supported courses are denoted by [SMCCI Peniaga Pintar Fund applicable] in the course webpage.

Step 5: Member will need to make payment after successful registration in the course. Payment is to be made to the respective SMCCI-approved training provider, depending on which course member has registered for.

5. Claims Process

Step 1: Member to submit Claim Form, invoice from the training provider, evidence of course payment and a signed Enterprise Singapore Company Declaration Form to SMCCI.

Step 2: SMCCI to process the claims. This will take up to 1 month.

Step 3: Member will be reimbursed the amount claimed.
