NICF - Effective Project Management for Small Projects

Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements. It requires multiple skillsets such as managing tasks and timelines, manage resources, strategic thinking, problem solving, influencing, communication, and decision making.

This two day WSQ project management course will teach you the fundamental skill sets to manage a project. Learners will be able to effectively apply project management techniques and tools to oversee small projects

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

- Develop project scope and team to initiate the facilitation of a small project

- Develop a project plan based on the project scope.

- Utilise appropriate methods and tools to track and drive a project

- Identify and manage project risks

- Collaborate with project stakeholders

- Deploy resources for the project

- Track project deliverables and correct misalignment

- Apply Potential Outcomes Analysis Tools

Topic 4: Manage Project Risk

- Risk Identification

- Develop Contingency Plans

- Apply Risk Mitigation Techniques

Topic 5: Collaborate with Stakeholders

- Identify Stakeholders

- RACI Matrix

- Engage with Internal and External Stakeholders

Topic 6 Deploy Resources

- Estimate Costs Techniques

- Human Resource Deployment, Leveling and Smoothing

Topic 7: Track Project Deliverables and Correct Misalignments
